Givat Haviva Educational Foundation Accepted as Member of Prestigious Jewish Charities of America

August 15, 2007

Jewish Charities of America (JCA) is an independent fund drive that assembles, certifies, and represents national and international IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) Jewish charities in workplace fund drives and provides for their productive participation in these campaigns.

Employee workplace payroll deduction fund drives are very cost-effective and productive fundraising vehicles, but they are usually associated solely with the United Way. There are, however, "independent" workplace fund drives that welcome non-United Way charities, and reach an estimated 10 million employees nationwide; AJC is such a organization.

As a member of AJC, Givat Haviva participates in: the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), 28 state employee campaigns, scores of municipal, county and university campaigns, United Way campaigns in Washington DC and San Francisco, and various independent corporate campaigns.

GHEF is excited about the potential its JCA membership holds for increased campaign income. Our donors can feel secure that they are giving not only to an important cause, but to a charity that has been "registered and accepted" as one that meets the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.
