The Givat Haviva Collaborative Art Center’s ceramics school and other courses were active until the current lockdown, and plans to resume activities when restrictions are lifted. Meanwhile, development and planning in many areas continues, including these two initiatives: · Seeing Anew: A joint training program for Jewish and Arab teachers in photography.
The program engages its participants in an experiential, different, enriching and creative process, based on the use of photography to enable communication with the "other" and to express the self to the “other”, while providing creative tools for teachers as socializing agents to enable collaborations between their students from Jewish and Arab schools. · A joint residency program (AIR GHAC) of Arab and Jewish recent graduates of art institution in various fields of art, for a three-month stay of work in and around the Center and the regional community surrounding Givat Haviva.
Among other things, the program will include open days for 12th grade students from Arab Society to help them prepare applications for admission to art institutions. The program is in collaboration with the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem.
