Short biography:
Dragana Stojanović finished BA and MA studies of Ethnomusicology at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, after which she defended her PhD thesis within Theory of Art and Media doctoral academic program at the Center of Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Arts in Belgrade.
Currently she works at the Faculty of Media and Communication in Belgrade as an Associate professor in the fields of Culture Studies and Theory of Art and Media.
She also works as an Educational project consultant in Haver Srbija, a non-profit, non-governmental, educational organization that promotes a diverse and inclusive society in Serbia through learning programs related to Jewish culture and communities. Dragana Stojanović is also a member of Shoah Lab academic study group, based in the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade.
Dragana Stojanović published numerous texts in the domain of art theory, media theory, culture studies, pedagogy, education and ethnomusicology. Her main interests are based in memory studies, Holocaust studies, Jewish studies, gender studies, performance studies and new media/technology studies. She is active in organizing seminars, conferences and educational programs in the fields previously mentioned.
She is a member of editorial board of international journal AM – Art+Media. She is a member and one of the founders of The Society for Aesthetics of Architecture and Visual Arts Serbia.
