The Jewish-Arab Center for Peace

Doubling our network of dialogue group facilitators amidst government efforts to eliminate shared society messages.

This month, 20 dialogue group facilitators completed an intensive and joint training program together with 25 veteran facilitators at the Jewish-Arab Center for Peace at Givat Haviva. Despite government policy to remove the discourse promoting shared society from the education system, the field heralds a different choice. This year, we are doubling our network of facilitators to meet the growing demand for dialogue groups and Jewish-Arab discourse in the schools. We are proud that every year, increasing numbers of educators and Jewish and Arab schools throughout Israel choose to offer their students the opportunity to meet with the other, to speak with one another in a respectable and constructive manner, and to gain a personal understanding of the idea and the essence of shared, democratic, and egalitarian society.
